Teresa Flores

From a very young age, Teresa has always loved dogs. At 15 years old she stepped into her first veterinarian/grooming salon as part of a high school requirement, and from that day forward she has always known that she will work with animals. In 2000, she began her veterinary studies at Universidad Autonoma Agraria Antonio Narro, en Torreón, México.  Within 5 years she graduated with a degree as a Veterinarian, while also receiving a diploma in dog grooming from the Federación Canofila Mexicana at the same time. In 2007, she moved to the United States where she worked in a veterinary laboratory in Texas, and then in a couple of veterinary hospitals in California. Even though she enjoyed her time working at each of these places, Teresa always felt the need to create her own style of service for the needs of dogs.  Finally, she created Espino’s Pet Salon in Bakersfield with the support of her husband in 2015.  She is certified as a Professional Dog Groomer by International Professional Groomers Inc. and in turn is an active competitor in dog competitions. Teresa has been evaluated in Mexico and in the United States by world-renowned judges such as Master Groomer Victor Rosado, Catherine Opson, Kelly Knight, and Teri Becker DiMarino, among others, obtaining first place in their categories in both countries.

Head of Bussines

J Jesus Espino

In 2000, Jesus enrolled in the University Autonoma Agraria Antonio Narro to major in Veterinary Medicine, and two years into the program he began practicing at a dairy stable. As a student, he always stood out for his academic performances, which carried him through his journey towards the medical career. He was able to graduate with one of the best GPAs of the 2000-2005 graduating class at that university. In 2006, as he was finishing his thesis, he received his degree as a Zootechnical Veterinarian, after which he was hired to work at a dairy stable in Texas where he was in charge of 7,000 cows in milk production with about 50 other people until 2010. Afterwards, he moved to California to work at a second dairy stable that he remained in charge of up until 2017. It was then that he finally decided to dedicate all of his time to the family business, Espino’s Pet Salon, with the company of his wife in order to work together and achieve the common goal that had always united them in their profession: animal welfare. Recently, Jesus Espino participated in the prestigious event Super Zoo 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and still actively continues to prepare himself for future dog competitions.
